Demi Palecek Partners With Guerrilla Press For ‘Rise Up, Sing Out’ Watch Party

The pro-First Amendment party will serve as counter-programming to the UFC's White House event

Guerrilla Press is proud to announce it has partnered with Demi Palecek for an official Rise Up, Sing Out Watch Party this Sunday, June 14, at My Buddy’s in Chicago’s historic Uptown neighborhood.

Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment is a pro-democracy concert and call to action, featuring big names like Bette Midler, Julia Roberts, Rufus Wainwright, Patti Smith, and many more, some of whom have yet to be announced. It is being live-streamed from The Town Hall in NYC and serves as protest counter-programming to The Trump Administration’s UFC event at the White House that same night.

Palecek is the young progressive who just won the Democratic primary for the IL-13 State Representative seat, and will be on the ballot this November. Palecek is also a proud queer Latina, a military veteran, a community leader, and communications professional. She has proudly served in both the U.S. Air Force Security Forces and the Army National Guard, where she was activated for duty on January 6.

Palecek will oversee in-house hosting duties for the Chicago Watch Party event this Sunday night, including commentary before and after the event, photos with attendees, answering questions from prospective constituents, and much more.

Throughout the night, Palecek will be joined by Guerrilla Press co-founder Nick Hausman and other members of the Guerrilla Press team.
