Guerrilla Press And Run For Something Announce Live Podcast Series
Guerrilla Press will welcome Chicago-area Run For Something-endorsed candidates to The Annoyance Theatre in the closing five weeks of the primary season
Chicago’s newly launched progressive independent media company, Guerrilla Press, is proud to announce that it has partnered with Run For Something to bring a five-week feature as part of its live podcast series to the world-famous improv comedy theatre, The Annoyance. The series will highlight six Chicago-area Run For Something candidates ahead of the March 17 primary elections.
Run For Something is a national organization that recruits and supports young progressive candidates across the country running for state and local offices. All of their endorsed candidates are age 40 or under, and this live podcast series gives their Chicago-area ones a chance to speak face-to-face with The Annoyance’s young, diverse following.
Guerrilla Press was founded by comedians and best friends, EJ Cameron and Nick Hausman. The two have struck a chord with young progressives, generating more than 100,000 views on Instagram Reels alone with clips from their interviews with Illinois 9th Congressional District candidate Kat Abughazaleh and 44th Ward Alderman Bennett Lawson.
“Fascism is knocking at Chicago’s door, and we’re going to show the world how awesome and forward-thinking our wonderful city is,” said Hausman. “Run For Something knows that young progressive leaders are the future America deserves, and we cannot wait to showcase the best Chicago has to offer.”
Here is the full schedule of candidates who will be appearing as Guerrilla Press guests:
February 15: Cook County Commissioner candidate Jose “Che-Che” Wilson
February 22: Sangamon County Board candidate Miguel Valente and Illinois 40th District State Representative candidate Miguel Alvelo Rivera

March 8: Illinois 6th District State Senate candidate Nick Uniejewski
