'Guerrilla Press' Debut Adds Chicago Bears Playoff Watch Party w/ Kat Abughazaleh
Guerrilla Press' debut at The Annoyance this Sunday will take place right after the game
This Sunday night’s debut of Guerrilla Press at The Annoyance Theater just got bigger!
Rather than go head-to-head with the Bears’ historic playoff game against the LA Rams, Guerrilla Press is moving its start time back and inviting fans to watch the game at The Annoyance Theater, which features a large projector screen and several TVs broadcasting the action. Doors will be at 5 pm, kick-off at 5:30, and Guerrilla Press’ debut live podcast will take place immediately after the game.
Starting around halftime, Illinois Congressional 9th District candidate Kat Abughazaleh will be in attendance to watch the game alongside hosts EJ Cameron, Nick Hausman, and the fans.
In a social media video hyping the announcement, Abughazaleh laid out what attendees can expect.
“I’m Kat Abughazaleh — and I love three things: democracy, fighting fascism, and punk rock,” she said. “And this Sunday, we’re doing all three — plus Bears playoff football. Because of the Bears’ kickoff, Guerrilla Press is switching things up so everyone can watch the game and make the show. The Annoyance Theater and Bar opens at 5:30 PM for a Bears watch party.
“Then right after the game, we kick off the debut live-audience recording of Guerrilla Press. Chicago punk legends Malört & Savior will open the show, and I’ll be the debut guest for the night. So come for the Bears. Stay for the politics, the comedy, and the punk rock.”
Tickets for Guerrilla Press’ debut live podcast and pre-show Chicago Bears playoff game watch party are available at www.TheAnnoyance.com.
Full audio and video from Guerrilla Press’ debut will be released on their podcast feed and YouTube channel this Monday.
