Southside Together called on Governor JB Pritzker, Mayor Brandon Johnson, and private developers, including PsiQuantum, to stop the development of the Quantum Computer Campus.
Southside organizers stressed concerns over gentrification, displacement, and environmental harms. They stated that the public funding, nearing one billion dollars, should be invested directly in the community rather than in surveillance technology.
