Guerrilla Press Debut Preview: Kat Abughazaleh, Malört & Savior, Bears Watch Party, More
Guerrilla Press debuts Sunday night, January 18 at Chicago's The Annoyance Theater
Tomorrow night, Sunday, January 18, from Chicago’s world-famous improv comedy theater, The Annoyance, Guerrilla Press is unleashed upon the world!
Guerrilla Press is The Annoyance’s first-ever live, weekly podcast, and its debut has all the ingredients to be an epic night for Chicagoans.
Following the Chicago Bears’ impressive comeback, cheddar-shredding win over the Green Bay Packers, hosts EJ Cameron and Nick Hausman decided to embrace the city's energy and add a playoff game watch party to their opening night.
This Sunday, instead of Guerrilla Press’ typical 7 pm start time, The Annoyance’s doors will open at 5 pm to welcome fans into their expansive bar for a playoff watch party. Kick-off is at 5:30 pm, and Guerrilla Press’ debut guest, Illinois Congressional 9th District candidate Kat Abughazaleh, will arrive at the watch party around halftime to enjoy the game's final two quarters with attendees.
Immediately following the playoff game, the crowd will be moved into The Annoyance’s Cabaret theater for the debut recording of Guerrilla Press. Cameron and Hausman will start the show with their comedic takes on the top headlines of the week, before welcoming Abughazaleh to the stage for an interview.
Some of the topics Abughazaleh will address include ICE’s ongoing presence in Minnesota, Chicago, and beyond. Her own experience being targeted by Donald Trump’s administration, Congress’ diminish role under Trump, the ongoing conflict in Gaza, and the DOJ’s mishandling of the Epstein files.
Following Abughazaleh’s interview, Chicago pop-punk band Malört & Savior will perform a rare acoustic set. The band has ties to Abughazaleh, having previously headlined two of her campaign events.
“I’m Kat Abughazaleh — and I love three things: democracy, fighting fascism, and punk rock,” said Abughazaleh in a social media video. “So come for the Bears. Stay for the politics, the comedy, and the punk rock.”
Beyond Abughazaleh, the celebration of activism will also include representation from Indivisible Chicago Northwest. ICNW Political Action Director Kristen Vandawalker will be available before and after the show to greet the audience and discuss with them how they can stay engaged during a pivotal 2026 midterm year.
Tickets for Guerrilla Press’ debut live podcast and pre-show Chicago Bears playoff game watch party are available at www.TheAnnoyance.com.
Full audio and video from Guerrilla Press’ debut will be released on their podcast feed and YouTube channel this Monday.
